After School Clubs Descriptions

Open Gym

Don’t let the cold weather keep you from playing ball. The RPRY gym will be open for fun pick-up games. Boys in grades 5-8 can enjoy playing ball in a safe supervised environment.  RPRY’s very own Phys. Ed. teacher, Mr. K., will be supervising the boys as they play their games of choice .

Soccer

Spencer Rockman and his associates are back with Rovers Soccer. Through “soccernastics” and skill building games of dribbling, passing and shooting, Rovers Soccer creates an environment of fun and fitness designed to foster growth in your child’s motor skills, coordination and group interaction.

Mini Ballet

Fresh Theater Arts will be running our Mini Ballet class. Classes are narrative in nature as students are led through a series of movement stories and ballet-based activities that appeal to both girls and boys alike. The creative movement in each story enhances the development of fine and gross motor skills as they balance, skip, leap, coordinate, isolate and move to the music. Social skills are also developed through collaborative and cooperative games.

Young Rembrandts Drawing

3 ½ years old – k Does your child enjoy drawing? If so , your child will LOVE a Young Rembrandts drawing class. Learning to draw a scarecrow will capture the spirit of the fall season. Basic shapes and designs will be the focus as we take a look at gift-wrapped presents.

Grades 1-4 – Boost your child’s interest in drawing with a Young Rembrandts class. All new lessons are being served up this season. We will learn to draw a cute koala dressed as a tourist. We will travel back in time as we illustrate a decorative Egyptian headdress. All this and more await your child in a Young Rembrandt classroom.

Bricks 4 Kidz

Grades 1-4 - Students will experience a “STEM” enrichment program by building models incorporating LEGO bricks, axles, pulleys, gears, motors and more. Each week students will build a different motorized model exploring topics such as Inventions, Life Science and Technology. Students will be encouraged to modify the design, unleashing their creativity.
